Plastic milling

For the manufacture of certain parts, DEMGY SPN uses milling as a process. The operation involves removing material using a cutting tool. Milling is intended for parts that do not have an axis of revolution. The process consists of fixing a stock in a fixture or a vice on a milling table and removing material using a rotary cutting tool (milling cutter, drill, etc) in order to obtain the dimensions desired by the customer.

DEMGY SPN teams master different types of milling:

• Conventional milling for simple parts;
• 5-axis CNC milling for the most complex parts;
• All plastics can be milled.
